The group 'Friends of Erasmus Huis' consists of  members from the Indonesian, Dutch and international community and a large range of different companies.  The group was established in 1998. With their donations the Friends support the cultural activities in the Erasmus Huis which exceed the general budget. Generally this means the organisation of one huge performance or an important exhibition each year.

With the support of the Friends an exhibition was realised with etchings of Rembrandt  in 1998, a performance of Introdans and an exhibition on Modern Visual Arts in co-operation with the Westfries museum in 1999, on the occasion of the 30th birthday of the Erasmus Huis a jewellery exhibition and a tour by Paul van Kemenade Jazz Quintet in 2000, in 2001 the international travelling exhibition 'Anne Frank -  a history for today' en in 2002 the "Dutch Oranges" exhibition and the tour of the Dutch female jazz singer, Rita Reys.
